After doing a big favor for an individual over the past few weeks, I realized not once had this person said thank you for any of my efforts. It made me think of a few things 

• I thought of all the people who had kindly spent their time giving me advice. All of the introductions and event invitations which allowed me to meet some really amazing people. A number of times I thoughtlessly didn’t express my gratitude. 
• I remembered how good it made me feel when people thanked me. The warm feeling it gives you when I got a quick note thanking me . 

As the summer slowdown hits, I’ve decided I’m going to make saying thank you a project. I’m going to reach out to people I forgot to thank or who deserve another one.

Maybe someone calmed you down after a particularly brutal day at work or invited you to a dinner. I implore everyone to think about who has helped them and deserves a quick note or a tweet. I think we will all find it a rewarding experience.
